The M & M, or Modernized Matuka is an articulated sculpin pattern based on the older matuka flies. The fly sports a wedge shaped deer hair head serving to create a more realistic underwater profile as well as to give the fly an exaggerated side-to-side movement similiar to that of a real, injured/struggling sculpin.
Because of the fly's light weight, I would reccomend fishing it on a five weight streamer rod for the six and eight centimeter versions and a six weight for the ten centimeter.
